American Motorcyclist Association

Since 1924, the AMA has protected the future of motorcycling and promoted the motorcycle lifestyle. AMA members come from all walks of life, and they navigate many different routes on their journey to the same destination: freedom on two wheels. As the world’s largest motorcycling organization, the AMA advocates for motorcyclists’ interests in the halls of local, state and federal government, the committees of international governing organizations, and the court of public opinion.

Overview

Motorcycle riders continue to be overrepresented in fatal traffic crashes. In 2019, 5,014 motorcyclists died. To keep everyone safe, we urge drivers and motorcyclists to share the road and be alert, and we're reminding motorcyclists to make themselves visible, to use DOT-compliant motorcycle helmets, and to always ride sober.

Blue Ridge Mountains

The Blue Ridge Mountains offer National Parks, beautiful scenery, and curves that beckon to your bike's sensibilities as much as your own. Here you'll find popular well-traveled rides as well as hidden gems submitted by experienced motorcyclists.

MotorcycleRoads.com

Way back in 1998 I started MotorcycleRoads.com as a way for all of us riders to quickly and easily find quality motorcycle roads in whatever part of the country we live in or are traveling through. And, McR goes beyond just providing you with a list of roads to try, we provide you with detailed descriptions of the route's scenery, drive enjoyment, and even an idea of what there is to do in that area (tourism opportunities) when it is time to take a break from riding.
